ABOUT US
John, Tom & Derek Smokey
T's Pit Crew is an award-winning
competition Bar-B-Q and catering
team located in south Jersey, across the river from Philadelphia. We're
Tom Merola, Derek Finch, and John Jenkins - lifelong backyard BBQ'ers that have
always had a knack for putting together a meal to remember. A few
years back our competitive
juices started flowing and
we entered our first BBQ competition in 2004 at the
PA state championship in New Holland, PA. We had a blast there and
the competition bug bit us. Since then we've spent considerable time
experimenting with recipes, cooking times and temperatures. And we've
competed in several contests in the last few years. Some of our biggest accomplishments include winning the Ribs category at the NJ BBQ Championships (only our 2nd contest) and taking home the Grand Champion prize at the King of the Grill contest in Ocean City, NJ. See our latest results here. We also take pride in serving competition-caliber BBQ when we cater and "vend" at area festivals. We cater everything from backyard parties to large weddings and corporate events.
